Lives lie in God
“Success and prosperity are gifts from God not our the labor of our hands” Oladipo Joseph
If we are been asked to choose either prosperity or doom, sure! We all go for prosperity, we want all the best things in this world to be ours, we want to live rather than death, but we should be enlightened that, all Good thing are from God “every good endowment and perfect gift is from God” (James 1:17) and he bestow on his children. Moses was telling the people of Israel that, for them to enjoy God in fullest they must keep his commandment and decree, similarly Jesus told his Disciples in today Gospel to carry their cross and follow him, we must follow Jesus Christ, carrying our cross (i.e. the challenges of this word, the temptations and hardship) for us to have life and prosperous, the Psalmist emphases it “ blessed are those who hope in the Lord” in God alone lies our favor and break through, carry your cross and follow him.
Prayer Point: God make me willing to carry my cross and follow you, in all difficulties am facing
